The Countdown

My daughter, Kenzie, and I are always on the go and when we arrive at someone's home or at a function, and if she is having a wonderful time, she does not wish to leave. I have started a plan of action! 

I tell her that she has five more minutes to finish playing and then we must go. I then count down, telling her three minutes, and wait a few minutes and then tell her two minutes, then one minute and by then she is ready to go. 

Amazing how this changes her attitude about leaving.
